Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Gridmerce collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our service.

Last updated: August 7, 2026

1. Introduction

Gridmerce is a software service that provides tools for managing Shopify product data, creating Google Sheets templates, processing product images, generating Shopify-compatible CSV files, and performing related product management operations.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Gridmerce and how that information is used.

2. Information We Collect

We collect and process information that is necessary to provide, secure, and operate Gridmerce.

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, profile image, and authentication information.
  • Information received when you sign in using Google or an email address and password.
  • Shopify store information, including store title, store domain, API version, and credentials required to communicate with the Shopify Admin API.
  • Google authorization information required to provide Google Drive and Google Sheets functionality that you choose to connect.
  • Spreadsheet identifiers, spreadsheet content, product data, metafield values, tags, URLs, and other information that you choose to process through Gridmerce.
  • Information about generated files and operations performed through the service.
  • Credit balances, purchases, and payment transaction information necessary to operate the billing system.
  • Technical information necessary for security, error diagnostics, and operation of the service.

3. Shopify Data and Credentials

Gridmerce allows you to connect Shopify stores that you are authorized to manage.

To perform Shopify operations, Gridmerce may store credentials such as an Admin API access token. Such credentials are used only to perform operations requested through the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that the credentials you provide are valid and that you have permission to use them.

If you believe your Shopify credentials have been compromised, you should revoke or replace them.

4. Google Account, Drive, and Sheets

You may connect your Google account to Gridmerce to create, access, and manage Google Sheets and related files.

Gridmerce uses the permissions granted by you only to provide the Google-related functionality requested through the service.

You may disconnect Google Drive from your Gridmerce account. Features that depend on Google Drive or Google Sheets may become unavailable until the connection is restored.

5. Product and Spreadsheet Data

Gridmerce processes data contained in Google Sheets selected or created through the service.

This information may include product names, descriptions, SKUs, barcodes, prices, categories, product types, tags, inventory information, metafield values, image URLs, product URLs, and other product-related information.

The information is processed only to perform functionality initiated by you, such as CSV generation, product image processing, metafield updates, tag updates, and related operations.

6. Image Processing

Gridmerce may retrieve product images from publicly accessible image URLs supplied through your spreadsheet.

If a direct image URL is unavailable, Gridmerce may attempt to obtain product images from a publicly accessible product page URL.

Images may be resized, positioned, fitted using supported processing modes, provided with a selected background, converted to another image format, and stored for use in generated files.

Gridmerce does not intentionally bypass authentication or access restrictions protecting private image or product resources.
